What is Corrective Exercise?
Corrective Exercise is a method of kinesiology that re-aligns musculo-skeletal imbalances in our bodies primal movement patterns.
Corrective exercise has many benefits & will help assist you with:
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Poor Posture
- Core Stability
- Weight Loss
- Chronic Injuries
Most clients like our Corrective Exercise training as it aids them in getting rid of those niggling pains and aches like back pain and neck pain. They also realise that these are not aches and pains they now need to accept in their daily lives.
What our clients also learn is, all these aches and pains they live with day to day can be almost cured by simple and personalised strengthening and corrective exercises. Here lies our difference and our speciality.
Did you know that more than 90 % of the worforce is in a seated capacity for more than 8 hours a day!
Combined with sedentary lifestyle patterns becoming a concerning trend, we are creating more stress on joints (especially back and neck), developing aches and pains throughout our musculo-skeletal system as our poor postural habits develop.
Firstly we begin with a detailed Postural & Orthopedic Assessment, here we perform:
- Static Plumb-line Analysis
- Orthopedic Posture Profiling
- Stretch Assessment
- Comparitive Range of Motion Analysis
- Abdominal Wall Functioning
- Lower Abdominal Functioning
Together with our physiological load asessments & postural assessments, we strategically implement the C.H.E.K philosophy of exercise prescription & program design applying a 3 phase progression model. This model is used to correct orthopedic issues, balance length / tension relationships in muscles as well as balancing anabolic & catabolic influences in the body.
